Application Management

Documentation

Like many organizations, state and local governments often find themselves in a position where they are relying on an application that has little or no documentation. Organizations that develop applications in-house often fail to make documentation a priority, which becomes a problem if the developer leaves the organization. Levergent can generate functional and technical documentation for your applications, putting you in a position to enhance and maintain your software.

Bug Fixing and Application Enhancement

During the course of using a custom application, you may discover bugs in the software or realize that the functionality needs to be enhanced due to changes in your business processes. We can help you make these enhancements, with the speed that situation requires. All code changes are designed, built, and fully tested before deploying in your production environment.

Application Monitoring

We can monitor your application to make sure that it is performing optimally. We look at various factors that affect application performance, including:

  • Open transaction issues. We make sure that the system completes all transactions. If there are any open transactions, we investigate and resolve the issue.
  • Transaction volume. We monitor the number of transaction that are being processed and evaluate whether you have sufficient processing power to handle the load.
  • Database growth. We monitor the rate of growth of your database to ensure that your servers are properly sized for future anticipated growth.

Patch Management

We can help you ensure that your operating system and database are always kept up-to-date. We will create a regular patch management program for you. Mandatory patches will be applied immediately, and periodic patches will be applied at regular intervals, usually three to four times per year. Whenever we apply patches, we thoroughly test the patch set in a test environment using test cases, test scenarios, and test data that we have created. You review and approve the test results before we apply the patch set in production.
